Aove features Cornicabra

The Cornicabra variety is the second most cultivated in Spain, just behind the Picual, which predominates in Castilla-La Mancha and, especially, in Toledo and Ciudad Real. Its name refers to the peculiar curved shape of the fruit, which resembles a goat's horn. It is a highly valued and demanded variety for its adaptability to the continental climate and its high oil yield.


The Cornicabra oil has a persistent flavor that gives it a very defined personality. It is medium-high fruity, with a good balance between bitterness and
spiciness, which makes it suitable for all types of palates. Its color ranges from golden green to intense yellow, and its stability makes it a
long-lasting oil, ideal to have at home.


The Cornicabra Extra Virgin Olive Oil is especially rich in antioxidants and oleic acid, and has an excellent proportion of phenolic compounds.
