One more year, the prestigious Evooleum Guide has presented the 100 best Oils of Extra Virgin Olives of the world of 2023, chosen by 26 experts collectors internationally from Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Portugal, Israel, Argentina, Japan, France and the US.
Since the prestigious publication was launched seven years ago, this It is the first year that said ranking has been topped, equally, two oils: Spanish oil Corner of the Subbética Altitude and the italian Monini Monocultivar Coratina Bio. The limited edition Cordovan oil is not the only Spanish oil that is in the top 10. The list is headed by the Rincón de la Subbética Altitude oil from Córdoba, of the hojiblanca variety, which has obtained 97 points out of 100 in the tasting. The producers of the best oil in the world -Almazaras de la Subbética- also win the prize for second best Spanish oil with their picuda and hojiblanca variety oil Parqueoliva Gold Series.
Where is the best olive oil in the world from?
Rincón de la Subbética Altitude olive oil, produced by Oil mills of the Subbética, has its origin in the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park and has the Priego de Córdoba Protected Designation of Origin. A region that rises to the southeast of the province of Córdoba, bordering the provinces of Jaén and Granada, and inside the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park.
