The Picual variety is the most representative of extra virgin olive oil in Spain, covering more than 50% of the olive groves in our country, especially in the province of Jaén, although it is also very present in other areas of Andalusia such as Córdoba or Granada. Its name is due to the shape of its fruit, which ends in a small point or “peak.”

Its color can range from bright green to golden, depending on the degree of ripeness of the olive and the moment of harvest.
