About the oil mill

In Tabernas (Almería), under a sky with more than
3,000 hours of sun per year, is the family estate that gives rise to Oro del Desierto. This unique location, with a dry climate and no abrupt temperature changes, favors the organic cultivation of the olive grove.

The olives are handpicked and
crushed within eight hours
of harvesting, using cold extraction methods that preserve all the properties of the fruit.

The result is an organic extra virgin olive oil, awarded nationally and internationally, characterized by its fresh aroma and impeccable flavor. Oro del Desierto is the perfect combination of tradition, sustainability, and technology, an EVOO that reflects the uniqueness of Europe's only desert.

La variedad Hojiblanca es una de las más representativas del sur de España, especialmente presente en las provincias de Córdoba, Málaga y Sevilla, que a día de hoy es la tercera más cultivada en nuestro país. Su nombre hace referencia al tono plateado de sus hojas, siendo una variedad muy apreciada no solo para la producción de aceite, sino también como para aceituna de mesa.

El aceite de oliva virgen extra Hojiblanca es un monovarietal que se caracteriza por un sabor equilibrado y complejo, así como por tener una estabilidad media, lo que hace que sea adecuado tanto para consumirlo en crudo, como en la cocina.
